Massachusetts Tech Pioneers Reunion
About the Event
The Innovation Trail and the Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation are inviting leaders who helped build the Massachusetts tech economy from the 1960s to the modern era to join us for a once-in-a-lifetime reunion.
If you were part of the Massachusetts Miracle… if you rode on the DEC chopper… worked in Wang Towers… or built your career on America’s Technology Highway (a/k/a Route 128), you’re invited. We’re building this event around 15 amazing leaders from the various “eras” of technology in Massachusetts — from minicomputers to spreadsheets to networking to e-commerce to SaaS. And yes, Bose and Polaroid, too!
Who Will Be There
Already involved are people like Gail Goodman (e-commerce pioneer at Open Market and Constant Contact), John Cullinane (founder of the first publicly-traded software company), Dan Bricklin (inventor of the spreadsheet), Danny Hillis (AI pioneer and founder of Thinking Machines), Joyce Plotkin (former head of the Mass. Software Council), Sherwin Greenblatt (co-founder of Bose), Victor McIlheny (science journalist and biographer of Edwin Land), Ray Ozzie (Lotus Notes, Groove Networks), and Bob Metcalfe (inventor of Ethernet and founder of 3Com.)
